Later, they had five children, Drenda Ray and husband, Terry, of Morgantown, North Carolina, Janice Smith and husband, Jim, of Greenfield, Michael Young and wife, Paula of Farmington, Maine, Rebecca “Becky” Hadler and husband, Steve, of Greensburg, and Lawrence “Larry” Young and wife, Jean, of Martinsville.

In addition to Lawrence, Jean was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Pat; brother, Don; granddaughter, Tia; and great-grandson, Gage.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Jean attended Rushville High School.

She was an instructor at an Indianapolis Beauty College, and later retired from IPC in Morristown in 1990.

Jean was a member of the Gwynneville Christian Church and its ladies auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Eastern Star, Senior Citizens and Hand and Foot card club.

She always had time to listen to a problem, encourage when you were down and to pray for your need at a moments notice. Her love and sunshine will be so very missed and her love will live on through us.
