Albert Dale Collins, 65, of Shelbyville, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2006, at Regency Place, in Greenfield. Born Jan. 19, 1941, in Shelbyville, he was the son of the late Ernest and Ava Bernice (Holmes) Collins. Survivors include three sons, Scott Collins of Indianapolis, Todd Collins of Fairland and Vincent (wife, Rhonda) Collins of Greenfield; one daughter, Jennifer Webber of Shelbyville; one stepdaughter, Shannon Wilcox of Beech Grove; one brother, David Collins of Shelbyville; eight grandchildren, Amanda, Dawn, Jammie, Joey, Natlie, Nick, Tanner and Austin; three great-grandchildren; companion, Lillian Bauer; and former wife, Bev Fisher of Shelbyville. He was preceded in death by one son, Tony Collins; and two brothers, Bob Collins and Ernest Collins Jr. Mr. Collins was a lifelong Shelbyville resident, He had been employed with KCL Corp. for 28 years and had been a part-time bartender at Kendall?s Tavern for 15 years. Mr. Collins was a former member of Shelby County Sportsman Club. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, Freeman Family Funeral Homes, 819 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Wayne Grumbling officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Albert Dale Collins Memorial Fund, in care of Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Chapels, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN 46176.
