Alice Ann Wisker, 70, of Shelbyville, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born November 6, 1945, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Thorl E. and Bernice A. (Felton) Griffith. On June 3, 1983, she married her husband of 33 years, Dan K. Wisker, and he survives.
Alice is also survived by her sons, Gregory A. Pence and wife, Laura, and James A. Wisker and wife, Amy, both of Shelbyville, James E. Pence of Lafayette, and Scott A. Wisker and wife, Tori, of McCordsville; daughters, Kelly A. Hughett and husband, Steve, of Milford, Ohio, and Tammara K. Witte of Shelbyville and her friend, Rob Etter of Morristown; brother, Ed Griffith and wife, Bev, of Columbia, Maryland; sister, Nancy Henry and husband, Loren, of Bloomington; grandchildren, Chelsea Pence, Brooke Pence, Anthony Wisker, Megan Wisker, Eric Hughett, Sydney Hughett, Evan Witte and Leah Wisker; great-grandchild, Millie Nicole; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Alice graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1964, and attended Indiana University Herron School of Art.
She worked as the office manager for Robert D. Marshall Construction for 15 years; and retired from Rammelsberg and Rumsey, where she was a bookkeeper in 1998, with three years of service.
Alice was a volunteer for the American Red Cross in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
Her talents included painting, crafts and sewing.
Alice loved family gatherings and attending her grandchildren’s events.
She also leaves behind her cat, Zoey.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2016 at the funeral home, with Rob Etters officiating.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
