Alma Chadwick, 86, of Shelbyville, died Friday, June 10, 2005, at Major Hospital.
Born May 4, 1919, in Van Buren Township of Shelby County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Nellie (Nail) Chadwick.
Survivors include one sister, Hester Kendall of Greensburg; several nieces and nephews, including Frederick Walker, Rollie Walker, Larry Walker, Tom Walker, Dale Walker, Linda Walker, Nancy Evans, Louise Browning, Don Kendall, Janet Waters, Carolyn Hedge and David Kendall; and several great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Katherine Walker, and one nephew, Lowell Walker.
Ms. Chadwick was a lifelong resident of Shelby County.
She was employed by Plymate Cleaners for many years, retiring in 1974.
Ms. Chadwick graduated in 1937 from Morristown High School.
She was a member of West Street United Methodist Church and Senior Citizens.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, Freeman Family Funeral Homes, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Brandywine Center Cemetery, on Boggstown Road.
