Ann P. Henderson, 97, of Shelbyville, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus.
Born March 9, 1909, in Raywick, Ky., she was the daughter of Ben S. and Ollie (Fenwick) Pickerell. She married David A. Henderson on Jan. 7, 1928, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Richard (wife, Geneva) Henderson of Shelbyville; one sister, Mary Catherine Carver of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren, Richard (wife, Jackie) Henderson, Kent Henderson, Karen (husband, Jim) Spurlock, Judy (husband, Jerry) McCain, Lisa (husband, Denny) Fortwengler, Bryan (wife, Marci) Henderson and Tammy (husband, Jeff) Mohr; three stepgrandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several stepgreat-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Jack Henderson and Paul Henderson; five brothers, John Pickerell, William Pickerell, Ark Pickerell, Jesse Pickerell and Tony Pickerell; and one sister, Emma Carver.
Mrs. Henderson lived most of her life in Shelbyville.
She was a bagmaker at KCL Corp. for 43 years, retiring in 1971.
Mrs. Henderson was a former Eagles participant.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joseph Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery in Blue Ridge.
