Anna E. "Ann" McVey

Anna E. “Ann” McVey, 91, of Waldron passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020, at Waldron Health and Rehab. She was born February 25, 1929, in Shelby County, the daughter of Pete and Ednamable Neeb. On November 3, 1948, she married Richard F. McVey, and he preceded her in death on March 29, 2019. Ann is survived by three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters. In addition to Dick, Ann was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers. Ann was a 1947 graduate of Waldron High School. She was a member of Waldron Baptist Church. Ann was a housewife, dispatcher for the Shelbyville Police Department and cooked at Waldron Schools. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2020 at Van Pelt Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Memorial contributions may be made to Freeman Family Funeral Homes to help defray the cost or Waldron Fire Department.
