Annie Mae Riley, 78, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at her residence. She was born November 17, 1938, in DeMossville, Kentucky, the daughter of James W. and Maxie (McIntosh) Thornton. Annie is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Riley and wife, Teresa, of Greenfield, Gary Riley and wife, Tina, of Blacksburg, Virginia, and Chris Riley and Leslie, of Summerville, South Carolina; daughter, Dawn Jones and husband, Steve, of Avon; daughter-in-law, Kerri Riley of Purcell, Oklahoma; sisters, Ora, Jean and Juanita; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dwayne Riley; brother, Glendon; and sisters, Eve, Alice and Ollie. Annie graduated from Butler High School in Butler, Kentucky in 1957. She was a member of Grassy Creek Christian Church in DeMossville. Annie was a manager for Dominion Realty for 18 years. She enjoyed reading and working word search puzzles. Annie was an excellent cook and especially enjoyed baking cakes. Private family services will be observed. Inurnment will be at Gardnersville Cemetery in Pendleton County, Kentucky. Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
