Anthony "Joe" Phillips

Anthony “Joe” Phillips, 42, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015 in Shelbyville. He was born January 5, 1973, in Kailua, Hawaii, the son of Gary Paul Sr. and Carol Jean (Robello) Phillips. He married Angela Sorrell on February 23, 1996, and she survives. Joe is also survived by his mother of Kailua; daughter, Samantha Phillips of Shelbyville; brother, Gary Paul Phillips Jr. and wife, Liz, of Kailua; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Joe graduated from St. Louis High School in Hawaii in 1992 and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He formerly worked in technical support at Cummins in Columbus. Joe was an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed video gaming. Private family services will be observed. Services entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
