Atheline J. Gilbert

Atheline J. Gilbert, 43 of North Vernon passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Columbus Regional Hospital. Born July 1, 1966 in West Virginia, she was the daughter of Donald and Lois (Philpot) Morris. She married John C. Gilbert II on July 1, 1988, and he survives. Other survivors include her mother, Lois Morris of Columbus; her children, Cassidy (husband, Christopher) England of Columbus, Chassidy Smith of Columbus, John C. (wife, Leanna) Gilbert III of North Vernon and Lois Gilbert of North Vernon; grandchildren, Brendon Roberts, Jesse England and John C. Gilbert IV; sister, Abygail (husband, Jeff) Daniels of Columbus and niece, Jennifer Franke-Kelson of Taylorsville. She was preceded in death by her father. Mrs. Gilbert was a homemaker, mother and enjoyed computer games, as well as emailing her friends. She graduated from Columbus East High School in 1983. Mrs. Gilbert was a member of Greenfield Christian Church. Graveside services will be conducted at Scipio Cemetery on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 1 p.m. Services entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S.
