Austin Jerome Israel, 15, of Shelby County, passed away Monday, May 30, 2011 in Richmond.
Born September 23, 1995, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Kimberly Israel.
Survivors include mother, Kimberly Israel of Shelbyville; grandmother/guardian, Deana DeBaun of Shelbyville; grandfather, Steven Israel of Shelbyville; great-grandmother, Martina "Marge" Borden of Fairland; great-grandfather, Walter G. Israel; brother, Bryce A. Sweet of Shelbyville; and a sister, Chyenne Elizabeth Tapp of Shelbyville and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins, including Amy E. Israel.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Merritt Arthur Borden; great-grandmother, Gerald F. Israel; and step-grandfather, Gary DeBaun.
Austin was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.
He attended Triton Central Schools in Shelby County.
Austin loved outdoor sports, especially fishing and hunting.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2011 and from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be a 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Pastor Howard Whitecotton officiating.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
