Barbara A. Adcock, 77, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Waldron Health and Rehab in Waldron.
She was born October 12, 1937, in Shelby County, the daughter of William Harold and Irene (Vernon) Schloesser.
Barbara is survived by her daughters, JoAnna Wilson and husband, Richard, Sharon Brown and Sheila “Herbie” Brown, all of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Melissa Scott, Ashley Martin, Jared Wilson, Julia Brown, Jeena Brown, Jessa Brown and Drew Brown; great-granddaughter, Abigail Huntsman; and three great-grandchildren expected to be born before the end of the year.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Barbara graduated from Moral Township High School in 1955.
She was a unit clerk at Major Hospital from 1972 to 1981. From 1995 until retiring in 2002, she worked as a Care Partner at Columbus Regional Hospital.
She enjoyed watching sports and her dogs.
Barbara loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm, Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 1 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Steve Bohall officiating.
Interment will be at New Palestine Cemetery in New Palestine.
