Barbara E. Heck, 80, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Morristown Manor in Morristown. She was born January 12, 1936, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Perry and Bertha (Towns) Golding. She married Robert J. Heck on May 31, 1952, and he preceded her in death on January 9, 2002. Barbara is survived by her daughters, Jill Turner and husband, Neal, of Morristown, and Karen Kenworthy and husband, Steve, of Mooresville; son, Jeff Heck and wife, Mindy, of Morristown; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Thelma Fox, Mary Jean Mullis and Deloris Lovitt; and brothers, Clayton Fair, Bobby Golding and Perry “Jr.” Golding. Barbara was a member of Fountaintown Christian Church. She was a homemaker, later she worked as a greeter at Walmart in Greenfield, from 2002 until 2014. Barbara enjoyed bowling, euchre, reading, crafts, playing bingo and most importantly her grandchildren and family. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown. Memorial contributions may be made to Shelbyville-Shelby County Animal Shelter, 705 Hale Road, Shelbyville, Indiana 46176, because of her love of dogs.
