Beth Jean Brunner, 79, of Shelbyville peacefully passed away Friday, October 12, 2012 at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus surrounded by all her children.
Born September 22, 1933 in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of John E. and Vida Louise (Hupp) Jean.
Survivors include her children, Scott (wife, Jaye) Brunner of Shelbyville, Gwen (husband, John) Cord of Columbus, Jean (husband, Lamar) Reinhart of West Lafayette and Philip (wife, Georgia) Brunner of Fishers; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Beth graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1951 and Indiana University in 1955.
She was a member of Shelbyville Community Church, Delta Delta Delta Sorority and was past president of P.E.O. philanthropic sisterhood.
Mrs. Brunner formerly taught first grade at Morristown Elementary and substitute taught for many years at various schools. She was a travel agent at Indy Travel for 15 years, retiring in 2002.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling; she had been all over the world.
A gathering of friends will be from 10 to 11 am, Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Shelbyville Community Church.
A memorial service will be at 11 am at the church.
