Betty Louise Graham, 84, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at her residence.
She was born April 29, 1932, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Estelle Martin and Margaret (Buell) Thomas. On December 16, 1960, she married Donald G. Graham, and he preceded her in death on March 23, 2011.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Beckie Pike and husband, David Moore, and Cheryl Hill and husband, Ralph, both of Shelbyville; son, Jimmie Graham of Shelbyville; step-daughters, Macle Kelly and Kierste Cunningham, both of Delphi; step-son, Rustal Donaldson of Lebanon; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, step-father who raised her, Ernest Thomas; and daughter, Jeannette Graham Huesman.
Betty graduated from Morristown High School in 1950.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Betty was a lifelong resident of Shelby County.
She was a homemaker and loved her family.
Betty formerly worked with her husband, Donald, at Graham’s Garage, where she was the bookkeeper.
She was formerly a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and Moose Lodge.
Betty loved to go to the casino and she enjoyed playing bingo.
She enjoyed traveling and camping.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with Pastor Brad Knight officiating.
Interment will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 6, 2017 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
