Beverly Ann Bier, age 70, passed peacefully from this life to Eternal Life on May 16, 2020,
at Aperion Care Center in Waldron, IN.
She was born June 20, 1949, in Indianapolis, the daughter of John Jr. and Klea (Compton) Bier.
Beverly will be missed by her brother C. Robert Bier of Fort Wayne; nephews, John E. Bier of Richland Hills, Texas, David S. Bier and wife, Cathy of LaGrange, Illinois; and William B. Bier and wife, Nichole of Hudsonville, Michigan; great-nieces and nephews, Christina, Dan, Erin, Kate, Doug, David Ben, Mattie and Kate; and her best friend and sister in Christ, Rev. Linda Smallwood of Shelbyville; and numerous friends and extended family in Florida, Indiana, Missouri and Texas. She will also be greatly missed by her cat, Chinnah.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Beverly graduated in 1967 from Ben Davis H.S. in Indianapolis where she was active in the choir, Mask & Gavel, Thespians and Sunshine Society.
Prior to retirement, she had been an administrative secretary for the Indiana State Teachers Association and the Missouri Department of Corrections. Following retirement, she enjoyed driving a shuttle bus and greeting patrons at the Indiana Grand Casino in Shelbyville.
Beverly enjoyed reading mystery novels, singing, acting, laughing, and taking life in stride.
A Celebration of Life memorial will be held at a later date.
Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
