Beverly Sue "Susie" Kuhn

Beverly Sue “Susie” Kuhn, 76, of Shelbyville, passed away, Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at her residence. She was born March 4, 1938, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Elmer and Leona (Eckstein) Sarringhaus. On June 18, 1960, she married her husband of 54 years, Allen W. Kuhn, and he survives. Also surviving are her daughter, Leann Smith and husband, Dustin, of Shelbyville; and her grandson, Mitchell Smith of Shelbyville. She was preceded in death by her parents. Susie graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1956 and from Indiana University School of Business in 1960. She was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ and Zeta Tau Alpha and Omega Nu Tau Sororities. Susie enjoyed gardening and her birds and pets. She was very devoted to spending time with her family and caring for her animals. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 29, 2014 at the funeral home, with Rev. Linda Frische-Mouri officiating. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
