Bobbie Morris "Bob" Baker, 71, of Oscoda, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Ashford Place Health Campus in Shelbyville, Indiana.
Born October 4, 1939, in Howe, Oklahoma, he was the son of Jack and Janice (Hall) Baker. He married Dianne Butler on November 16, 1963, and she survives.
Other survivors include his daughter, Jill (husband, Mike) Sutton of Greenfield, Indiana; son, Jay Baker of Duluth, Minnesota; granddaughters, Lillie Sutton, Graceann Baker and Sarah Baker; and grandson, Liam Sutton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jimmy Baker.
Mr. Baker was formerly the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Certified Public Accountant in hospital administrations, in both Michigan and Indiana.
He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in Germany as an radiology technician.
Mr. Baker was a member of the Michigan Hospital Association and served on the board at Alma Bank in Alma, Michigan.
He graduated from Pontiac High School in 1957, and received his Master's degree from Wayne State.
Mr. Baker was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Cadillac, Michigan.
A gathering of friends will be from 2 to 4 pm Friday, January 21, 2011 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, Indiana.
