Bonita Hinchman, 79, a Shelbyville, IN resident went to be with the Lord on August 23, 2011.
Bonnie was born on September 10, 1931 as the third child to James Houston and Lucille (Rogers) Houston in Dunreith, IN.
Bonnie graduated from Harrisburg High School and then went to beauty school and became a hair stylist.
On November 7, 1951, Bonnie married Norman A. Hinchman before he left to serve in the Korean War. After her husband?s passing in 1982, Bonnie worked at the Heritage House Convalescent Center in Shelbyville for many years.
Bonnie was a member of Blue Ridge Christian Union Church and more recently, Beacon Baptist Church.
Bonnie enjoyed walking, bird watching, cooking and cheering for her Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Hoosiers.
Bonnie devoted her time and love to others and charitable causes.
Bonnie is survived by an adoring family including two daughters, Karen (John) Fox of Shelbyville and Marla (Arthur) Williams of South Bend; two granddaughters, Leslie (Matt) Myrick of Bargersville and Lindsey Lux of Greenwood; one grandson, Adam James of Shelbyville; one great-grandson, Garrett Myrick; two brothers, Bob (Carol) Houston and John (Helen) Houston; as well as nephews and nieces.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Marianne Hadley, and a niece and a nephew.
The family is having a private funeral service before burial at Dale Cemetery in Connersville, IN.
Memorial Contributions can be made to the Alzheimer?s Association in the hopes of finding a cure.
