Bonnie Sandra Ayers

Bonnie Sandra Ayers, 69, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at Nursing and Rehab in Edwardsville, Illinois. She was born on June 29, 1940, the daughter of Ruth Ann Bruce. Bonnie married Alfred L. Ayers on April 13, 1958, and he preceded her in death on May 14, 1989. Survivors include her children, Mark Ayers of St. Louis, Missouri and Kimla O?Dell of Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Sharon Frank of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Jamie Ziegler Parker, Bailey O?Dell, both of Kansas City, Kristopher Ayers, Kaylen Ayers and Kara Ayers, all of Edwardsville; great-granddaughter, Autumn Parker of Kansas City. She was preceded in death by her mother; son, David Ayers on May 14, 1983; sister, Barbara Bruce and brother, Byron Bruce. Mrs. Ayers resided in Shelbyville from 1971 to 1979. She was a homemaker and devoted mother. Mrs. Ayers graduated from Shortridge High School in 1958. Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Forest Hill Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville, Indiana Memorial contributions may be to the American Cancer Society.
