Brian Wayne “Cholock” Hodgins, 42, former Shelbyville resident, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at Franciscan St. Francis Health in Indianapolis.
He was born Oct. 28, 1970, to Danny Hodgins and Karin Hodgins in Shelbyville.
Survivors include grandmother, Ruth Wilder; father, Danny Hodgins; brothers, Shawn Hodgins of Austin, Texas, Dustin Hodgins of Shelbyville and William Hardin of Manilla; sisters, Stephanie Hensley of Greenwood and Susanne (Hardin) Wilson of Noblesville; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Karin Hodgins.
Mr. Hodgins was a 1998 graduate of South Plantation High School in Plantation, Fla.
He had an unmistakable passion and love for music and playing the guitar was his favorite. Brian's kind heart was an inspiration to his family and everyone he came into contact with. His smile, kindness and personality to go along with his amazingly funny laugh are an inspiration and could easily light up the darkest of rooms. He will be dearly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at the American Legion Post #70, 1125 Miller Ave. in Shelbyville.
