Calvin Bruce Kennedy

Calvin Bruce Kennedy, 67, of Morristown and Myrtle Beach, S.C. died Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis. Born Oct. 14, 1941, in Florence County, S.C., he was the son of Guy Leon and Lennie(Moore)Kennedy. He married Judith A. Brown, and she survives. Other survivors include his son, Calvin Bruce Kennedy, Jr. of Myrtle Beach; daughter, the former Lynn Marie Kennedy of Columbia, S.C.; stepson, James Edward (wife, Julie) McMichael of Greenfield; stepdaughter, Melissa (husband, Todd)Doane of Myrtle Beach; sister, Virginia (Bernie) Roberts of Myrtle Beach; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Kennedy had been a laundry manager at Sea Mist Resort in Myrtle Beach. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving for several years. Mr. Kennedy graduated from Myrtle Beach High School. He was a member of a Masonic lodge, Shrine, and Moose Lodge in Myrtle Beach. A memorial service will be at 6:30 PM Saturday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Frazier Chapel, 124 E North Street in Morristown, with the Rev. Jim Coyle officiating.
