Carla Kay Priddy

Carla Kay Priddy, 70, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehab in Columbus. She was born July 16, 1946, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Lawrence and Velma (Fateley) Phipps. On September 19, 1975, she married Garnett Priddy, and he preceded her in death on March 23, 1988. Carla is survived by her loving aunt, Frieda Crawford of Columbus; and wonderful cousins, Karen Mason of Avon, David Hudson and York Sullivan, both of Columbus, and Mitchell Hudson of Seymour. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Annette Cox. Carla was a member of Beacon Baptist Church. She formerly worked at Heritage House in Greenfield for numerous years. Carla loved horseback riding, Native American figurines and participating in activities at Kindred. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2017 at Lewis Creek Baptist Cemetery in Shelby County. Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
