Carol Browning, 52 of Shelbyville passed away April 7, 2008 at Community Hospital East. Born April 10, 1955 in Shelbyville, IN. Daughter of Rita Knight (Weintrout) and Thomas Wamsley (deceased). Graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1973. Married her high school sweetheart, Ronald Browning in 1975 and had three children: Dayne Browning and wife Brook Havens of Noblesville, Beth Ahmad (Browning) and husband Amran Ahmad of Monrovia, and Beau Browning of Indianapolis. She has one granddaughter, Mackenzie Grace Browning of Noblesville. She is preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her mother and sister, Julie Metz (Wamsley), husband, children and grandchild. Carol was vice president of operations for SkilMatch Staffing Systems, based in Houston, TX. She enjoyed spending time with her kids, working in the yard, swimming in her pool and taking rides in her convertible while visiting wineries. She will long be remembered for her courage strength, faith and positive attitude. A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on May 3 at At the Richmond's, 4072 E. Michigan Road. Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. A scholarship fund in Carol's memory has been set up through the Blue River Community Foundation. Checks must be made payable to Blue RiverCommunity Foundation, please note in the memo line a reference to Carol Browning Memorial Fund.
