Carol Jean Wade, 69, of Shelbyville, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at Ashford Place Health Campus.
Born June 17, 1937, in Bellwood, W.Va., she was the daughter of William A. and Ella Ann (Lambert) Carr. She married Frank W. Wade on July 21, 1958, and he survives.
Other survivors include two brothers, Charles "Chuck" Carr of Rainelle, W.Va., and Billy Carr of Springdale, W.Va.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Bobby Carr; and one son, Cameron Craig Wade.
Mrs. Wade had been employed by the Bell Telephone System for 40 years before retiring in 1995.
She graduated in 1955 from Meadowbridge High School in Meadowbridge, W.Va.
Mrs. Wade was a member of the Maxwelton Presbyterian Church in Maxwelton, W.Va.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., in Shelbyville and from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the McCraw Funeral Home, 304 Courtney Dr., Lewisburg, W.Va.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg.
Interment will be in Maxwelton Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Maxwelton.
