Carol L. Browder, 73, of Greenfield died Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at her home. Born April 16, 1935, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Denzil and Gladys (Pyles) Washmuth. Survivors include her son, Robert Browder (fiance`, Amy McDowell) of Twelve Mile; daughter, Karen Browder-Reuter of Morristown; son-in-law, Matthew Reuter of Fountaintown; sister, Lolita (husband, Charles) Carr of Bloomington; grandchildren, Jennifer (busband, Christopher) Gordon of Greenfield, Jillian Reuter and Jeanie Reuter, both of Morristown, Joshua Reuter of Fountaintown, Hannah Browder and Gideon Browder, both of North English, Iowa; and great-grandchildren, Layla Gordon and Addison Gordon. She was preceded in death by her parents. Ms. Browder worked in the health care field at Inlow Clinic and later at Dr. Abeleda's office for 28 years and Internal Medicine, retiring in the early 1990's. She graduated from Broad Ripple High School in Indianapolis. Ms. Browder was a member of Shelbyville Community Church and a former member of Shelby County Extension Homemakers Club Country Pals. A celebration of life will be at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at Shelbyville Community Church, 720 N. 325 E. Arrangements have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison Street.
