Caroldyn J. Lightfoot, 76, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at her residence. She was born July 17, 1941, in Shelbyville, the daughter of William P. and Delores M. (Hill) Records. Caroldyn is survived by her daughters, Karen Justice and husband, Marty, of Indianapolis, Brenda Hill of Waldron, and Susan Bekkelund and husband, Kevin, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; daughter-in-law, Debi Daily of Shelbyville; sister, Sandra Bynum of Oneonta, Alabama; grandchildren, Wyndi, Marty Jr., Briana, Andrew, William, John, Matthew, Jeffery, Stephanie, Tony, Candice, Heather, Jennifer and Anthony; 23 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Patrick Daniel Daily; grandson, Jared Shelley; and great-grandson, Zeth Carter. Caroldyn graduated from high school in Tucson, Arizona in 1959. She retired from Roberta’s over 20 years ago, where she worked in the assembly of potpourri, for over 15 years. Caroldyn was an avid reader and she enjoyed crafting. A gathering of Caroldyn’s family and close friends will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Miller Cemetery in Shelby County, followed by a celebration of her life at Shelbyville Community Church, 720 N 325 E, Shelbyville. Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 6100 W. 96th St., Suite 200, Indianapolis, Indiana 46278.
