Carolyn Jo (Beatty) Tennant

Carolyn Jo (Beatty) Tennant, 59, Withee, Wisconsin, formerly of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2009 at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Born April 4, 1950 in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Garnett Sr. and Anna Ruth (Hart) Beatty. She married Kenneth Edward Tennant on October 2, 1982, and he survives. Other survivors include her daughters, Joy Huffmeyer of Shelbyville, and Jill Warner of Janesville, WI; brother, Jerry Beatty of Shelbyville; and grandchildren, Shawn Tlusty, Cody Riley, Ashley riley, Paul Tlusty and Jordan Warner. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Garnett Beatty Jr; and sister, Barbara Knott. Mrs. Tennant was secretary for Edjoten Trucking, which she and her husband owned. She resided in Shelbyville until movng to Wisconsin in 1982. Mrs. Tennant graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1968. She was a member of First Christian Church in Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contribution may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation or ALS Foundation.
