Carolyn Sue Ashcraft, 80, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Ashford Place Health Campus in Shelbyville.
She was born September 2, 1937, in Connersville, the daughter of Delmas and Pearl (Crosier) Snyder. On March 18, 1955, she married Glyndon R. Ashcraft, and he preceded her in death on February 23, 2003.
Carolyn is survived by her sons, Mark Ashcraft and wife, Tonya, and Robin Ashcraft, both of Shelbyville; daughters, Sheri Rothrock and husband, William, and Tamara Kuhn and husband, John, both of Shelbyville, and Kathi Kiel and husband, Jim, of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren, Kimberly McKenney and husband, BK, Tyler Claytor, Christin Ashcraft, Ian Ashcraft, Blair Rothrock, Blake Rothrock, Katherine Ashcraft, Sarah Ashcraft, Megan Ashcraft, Brice Kiel and Brendan Kiel; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to Glyndon, Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Anita James.
Carolyn graduated from Connersville High School in 1955.
She was a member of the Flat Rock Christian Church.
Carolyn enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren.
She also left behind her cat, Oreo.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2018 at the funeral home, with Rev. Bill Horner officiating.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
