Catherine Keppel, 89, of Shelbyville, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2006.
Born May 11, 1917, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Martin and Louise M. (Adam) Hey.
Survivors include one daughter, Roselyn Keppel of Indianapolis; one son-in-law, William (wife, Kathi) Parker of Bloomington; one brother, Gilbert (wife, Pauline) Hey of Columbus; two sisters, Virginia Pherigo of Shelbyville and Frances Linsmith of Columbus; two grandchildren, Cindi (husband, Alan) Livingston of Springville and David (wife, Arlene) Parker of Bloomington; three stepgrandchildren, Marisa (husband, Jason) Law, Autumn (husband, Andy) Raubuck and Jarrod Borders; and one great-grandson, Ian Livingston.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Cheryl Parker.
Mrs. Keppel was a lifelong Shelby County resident.
She was a homemaker and had been employed at Carney Hatchery, Albert Furniture Co., Bradley Hall Furniture and Meloy Law Office.
Mrs. Keppel had attended Indiana Business College in Columbus.
She was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church and was a former member of Evangelical United Church of Christ.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at noon Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robb L. Barlow officiating.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
