Charles Edmund Fix, 83, of Shelbyville passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013 in his residence.
Born March 18, 1929 in Shelbyville, he was the son of Paul Fix and Lucille (Sullivan) Pantzer.
Survivors include his children, Todd, Sully, Cindy, Laura and Sarah; and grandchildren, Jessica Stewart and Keon Fix.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Sarah Jane Bond.
Mr. Fix graduated from Shelbyville High School.
He formerly worked at Wishard Hospital as an Emergency Medical Technician and for the Indiana State Bureau of Motor Vehicles under the direction of Governor Otis Bowen.
Mr. Fix served in the U.S. Air Force, during the Korean Conflict.
He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign War and American Legion.
Mr. Fix collected elephants and enjoyed politics-The Republican Party.
Charlie never met a broad he never liked.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the Moose Lodge, 224 E. Jackson St. in Shelbyville.
