Charles Kenneth Hersey

Charles K. Hersey, 50, of Shelbyville passed away Saturday, August, 15, 2009, at his home. Born September 14, 1958, in Manhasset, New York, he was the son of Charles Kenneth and Hazel Allen (Poss) Hersey. Survivors include his aunt, Wilsie P. Wallace of Hagerstown, Md.; cousins, Barbara A. (husband, William) Dutton, Kassandra A. (husband, Timothy) Keller and Anthony Keller, all of Hagerstown, Md.; and close friend, Anthony "Tony" (wife, Elizabeth) Macaluso of Shelbyville. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Hersey had been employed on the assembly line at Nidec Sankyo America Corp. until June of 2008. He graduated from Shelbyville High School and attended Purdue University. Mr. Hersey was an Eagle Scout and attended Alcoholic's Anonymous at The Dry Dock. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Forest Hill Cemetery. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
