Charles W. LeMontagne, 86, of Morristown passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at his residence. Born August 31, 1926, in Guilford, Connecticut, he was the son of Louis W. and Julia Alice (Williams) LeMontagne. He married Joanne M. Moore on April 23, 1955, and she preceded him in death on May 10, 2000. Survivors include his daughters, Mary (husband, Bob) Pixley of Litchfield, Minnesota, Judy (husband, Paul) Skrbin of Colonial Heights, Virginia, Jane (husband, Paul) Peterson of Morristown and Jenifer (husband, Dave) Gibbins of Spokane Valley, Washington; son, Charles LeMontagne, Jr. of Alexandria, Minnesota; sister, Clare (husband, Finley) Campbell of Pinellas Park, Florida; grandchildren, Annemarie Rush, Jenifer Jenison, John Peterson, Charles LeMontagne and Carole “Joey” Skrbin and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers. Charles graduated from Guilford High School in 1944 and Connecticut School of Radio and Television. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and later served in the Connecticut Air National Guard. Mr. LeMontagne was a member of St. James Presbyterian Church in Tower, Minnesota and the Tower Lions Club. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Services entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Programs at St. James Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 413, Tower, Minnesota 55790.
