Christopher David “Chris” Mann, 42, of Waldron, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016 at his residence.
He was born March 24, 1974, in Rushville, the son of Harold and Beverly (Kincade) Mann. On March 12, 1994, he married Colette (Collins) Mann, and she survives.
Chris is also survived by his mother of Shelbyville; sons, Blake Mann and Dominique Mann, both of Waldron; daughters, Alexis Mann and Lillian Mann, both of Waldron; mother-in-law, Janet Russell of Shelbyville; father-in-law, Thomas Collins and wife, Kathleen, of Mooresville; a grandchild on the way; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Mann; maternal grandfather, Billy Kincade; maternal grandmother, Edna Kincade Hankins; paternal grandparents, Frank and Lizzie Mae Mann.
Chris graduated from Waldron High School in 1993.
He was a member of Hope’s Point Baptist Church in Shelbyville.
Chris was an electrician and owner and operator Reliant Electrical Service from 2005 until 2013.
He was also a member of the Moose Lodge No. 2118, United Midget Racing Association, Midwest TQ Racing League and King of TQ Midgets.
Chris was an avid three quarter midget race car driver. He won numerous awards including the 2012 Mentor Award from Midwest TQ Racing League.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2016 and from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Hope’s Point Baptist Church, 1703 S. Miller Avenue in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, with Rev. Ed Mohr officiating.
Interment will be at Van Pelt Cemetery in Shelby County.
Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Chris Mann Memorial Fund, in care of Hope’s Point Baptist Church.
