Claire D. (Hebert) Bond, 73, of Shelbyville, formerly of Manchester, New Hampshire, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Major Hospital. She was born October 21, 1942, in Manchester, the daughter of Noel and Anna (Gagne) Hebert. She retired from the Veteran’s Administration in New Hampshire as a telecommunication operator in 2004, with 33 years of service. She loved to go on picnics, play bingo, read books, and spend time with her family. Claire was a past member of St. Edmund Church in Manchester and was a current parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shelbyville. Family members include her husband of 41 years, Leonard Bruce Bond, two daughters, Diana Johnston and husband, Kevin, of Sarasota, Florida, and Melissa Bond of Weare; two sons, Raymond Furgal Jr. and wife, Donna, of Auburn, and Kevin Furgal of Shelbyville, IN; brothers and sisters, Roger Hebert, Pat Tremblay, Lucille Atkins, Rita Lefebvre, Lorraine Lencki, Yvette Cogar, Terry Adams, Georgette Corriveau and Jeannine Gagne, Ronald Hebert, Roland Hebert; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., Manchester on Monday evening, February 29, 2016 from 5-8 with a memorial service to follow in the funeral home chapel. Local services were entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
