Clrence James "Jim" Dixon, 62, of Shelbyville passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2010 in Indianapolis.
Born June 14, 1948, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Fred R. Sr. and Delia C. (Pasel) Dixon.
Survivors include his children, James William Dixon of Indianapolis, Eric Clifton of Warsaw, Buddy Allen Lockridge of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee, Jennifer "Jenny" (husband, Humberto) Gonzalez and Shoshanna Garcia, both of Shelbyville and Marilyn Nicole Christianson of Lebanon; sisters, Marion (husband, Raja) Janjua, Lora E. (husband Leroy) Anderson and Lisa (husband, Joe) Marass, all of Fairland, Marcia (husband, Bill) Davis of Shelbyville, Sherri (husband, Rex) Baumgardner of Union City, Ohio; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ralph William "Bill" Dixon.
Mr. Dixon was a self-employed carpet installer and had formerly worked for Flat Rock Auto Glass, retiring in 2005.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during Vietnam.
Mr. Dixon enjoyed his grandkids and having a good time.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, November 12, 2010 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 11 am on Saturday, at the funeral home.
