Clester Mabel Ehrenberg, 81, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis.
She was born December 24, 1933, in Henderson County, Tennessee, the daughter of Charles and Elvie (Shelton) Burnine. In 1948, she married Charles L. Berry, and he preceded her in death in 1966. On May 26, 1990, she married Kenneth Ehrenberg Sr., and he survives.
Clester is also survived by her daughter, Wanda Self of Shelbyville; sons, Charles Ricky Berry of Indianapolis, and Marvin L. Berry and wife, Karen, of Shelbyville; step-daughters, Linda Hilton of Mooresville and Vickie Anderson of Indianapolis; step-sons, Kenneth Ehrenberg Jr. and Mike Ehrenberg, both of Indianapolis; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and several step-greatgrandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by five brothers; and three sisters.
Clester was a member of Shadeland Baptist Church.
She retired from TRW Cinch as a supervisor, with 34 years of service, in 1990.
Clester was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2999 Auxiliary and American Legion Post No. 70 Auxiliary.
She enjoyed knitting, quilting and lifting her voice up in joy.
Clester also leaves behind her dog, Little Bear.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2015 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the funeral home, with Pastor Randol Norris officiating.
Interment will be at Miller Cemetery in Shelby County.
