Cloyd T. Linville, 80, of Shelbyville passed away Sunday, April 26, 2009, at Major Hospital. Born August 2, 1928, in Shelby County, he was the son of Earl and Lola Pauline (Towns) Linville. Survivors include his daughters, Patricia I. (husband, Roger) Walton and Melissa A. Linville, both of Shelbyville; sister, Catherine J. McMichael of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Chad F. Simerly, Levi C. Linville, Luke T. Linville, Julie M. (husband, Jenaro) Avilez, Kara L. (husband, Danny) Cassidy, Alexandria J. (husband, Norman) Caraballo and Roger Jay Walton, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Ethan M. Simerly, Gavin M. Cassidy, Surayah U. Cassidy, Emilia L. Caraballo; cousin, Harlan Brown of Port Richey, Fla.; niece, Cozette Brown of Shelbyville; great-nephew, Derek McMichael of Greenwood; and special friends, Mindy Simerly, Jamie Murphy, Troy and Andy Fuquay. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wayne Earl Linville; and great-grandchild, Marianna Marie Walton. Mr. Linville had owned and operated the Linville's Dairy Queen for 31 years. He previously was employed at Walker Wholesale, Ray Breedlove Insurance Agency, Siebert Oldsmobile and Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Linville graduated from Morristown High School. He was a member of the Exchange Club, BPOE of Shelbyville and Rushville, Fraternal Order of Eagles in Shelbyville, Shelby County Shrine, Morristown Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine Temple and Shelby County Republican Club. Visitation will be from 11 to 1 p.m. Thursday at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, 3718 E. Blue Ridge Road. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the church, with the Revs. Robb Barlow and Robert Langdon officiating. Burial will be in Bennett Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Little Blue River Baptist Church, 3515 N. 500 E., Shelbyville, IN 46176; Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, 3719 E. Blue River Road, Shelbyville, IN 46176; or Riley Hospital for Children, 702 Barnhill Drive, Room 1715, Indianapolis, IN 46202.
