Corbin Robert Laycock, 19, of Fairland, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015 in Fairland.
He was born January 8, 1996, in Delaware, Ohio, the son of Derek Neil Laycock and Carlena Jean (Lowery) Laycock.
Corbin is survived by his mother of Delaware; parents, Kara and Scott Weremay of Fairland; son, Elijah Neil Laycock of Delaware, Ohio; unborn daughter, Arianna May Laycock; paternal grandmother, Lynda Bowman of Fairland; paternal grandfather, Dan Laycock and wife, Druzella, of Speedway; maternal grandmother, Delores Miller of Delaware; grandparents, Cindi and Mark Holcomb, and McKinley and Carolyn Baker; brothers, Eion Lowery of Delaware, Cameron Lumpkin-Weremay, Chandler Weremay and Cayden Weremay, all of Fairland and William Winsemann of Shelbyville; sisters, Nikysha Lowery of Delaware, Sabbatha Laycock and Ashley Weremay, both of Fairland and girlfriend, Virginia “Jenny” Hammer of Shelbyville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Derek Neil Laycock; and maternal grandfather, Fred Lowery.
Corbin graduated in 2014 in Delaware, Ohio.
He formerly attended Fairland Baptist Church.
Corbin was a home health aide for Restcare.
He enjoyed basketball, fishing and drawing. Corbin also enjoyed music, he was always listening to the radio and rapping. He worked out and was very proud of his weight lifting abilities.
A celebration of Corbin’s life will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Fairland Christian Church, 109 Mulberry St. in Fairland.
A memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, with Pastor Les Bearden officiating.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
Services entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Corbin Laycock Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home.
