Donna Darlene McKinney, 74, of Murfreesboro, Ark., died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, at Pike County Memorial Hospital in Arkansas.
Born Dec. 19, 1932, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Russell and Kathryn (Beaumont) Ponsler. She married Charles McKinney on Sept. 20, 1999, and he survives.
Other survivors include one son, Mark (wife, Nancy) Gravely of Flat Rock; two daughters, Karen (husband, Verlon) Frazier and Kathy (husband, Greg) Weaver, both of Shelbyville; four grandchildren, Myranda (husband, Brian) Annakin, Brandon Tungate, Whitney Weaver and Adam Weaver; and one great-grandchild, Jackson Annakin.
Mrs. McKinney had been an office worker, last working at the Shelbyville Boys Club for seven years, retiring in 1986. She previously had been employed at Shelby National Bank, as a secretary for Police Chief Robert Nolley Sr. and the Indiana Farmers Union in Indianapolis.
She graduated in 1950 from Flat Rock High School.
Mrs. McKinney was a member of Lewis Creek Baptist Church, and a life member of Omega Nu Tau sorority
She enjoyed traveling and music.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Broadway Chapel, 232 W. Broadway St.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Cliff Bunch officiating.
Burial will be in Lewis Creek Cemetery.
