David Allen "Dave" Schutt

David Allen “Dave” Schutt, 69, of Fountaintown, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 at his residence. He was born December 9, 1948, in Hancock County, the son of Fredrick and Elaine Schutt. On August 1, 1994, he married Sue (Cope) Schutt, and she survives. In addition of Sue, Dave is survived by; step-sons, Michael Tuttle and wife, Misty, of Gwynneville, James Jones of Indianapolis, and John Jones and wife, Carol, of Greenwood; son, Jay Schutt of Louisville, Kentucky; daughters, Tammy Schutt, and Susan Schutt of Fountaintown; grandchildren, Maronika Leisure, Cody Tuttle, Justin Tuttle, Brittany Tuttle, Bobbie Tuttle, Logan Jones, Xavier Jones, Leslie Jones, Allister Jones, Ava Jones, Jesse James Jones, Shelby Jones and Jaden Jones; and a great-granddaughter, McKenzie Leisure. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Fred Schutt and Jack Schutt; and a grandson, Michael Tuttle Jr. Dave graduated from Mount Comfort High School in 1966. He owned and operated, Dave’s Truck and Auto Repair, where he was a mechanic for over 40 years. Dave also leaves behind his dogs, Shilo and Sadie. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown. Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice of charity.
