David C. McCammon

David C. McCammon, 56, of Shelbyville passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove. Born December 26, 1952, in Wolf Lake, he was the son of Wilbert "Mac" and Lois (Adair) McCammon. He married Sue Horstmeyer on August 10, 1974, and she survives. Other survivors include his daughter, Ellie (husband, Matt) Lane of Convoy, Ohio; son, Nick (wife, Courtney) McCammon of Indianapolis; and brother, Mike (wife, Sue) McCammon of Union, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. McCammon was employed with Weiss Communication in advertising sales. He graduated from Concord High School in 1971 and received a bachelor's degree from Ball State University. Mr. McCammon was a member of West Street United Methodist Church. He enjoyed coin collecting, drawing, painting and traveling; and was known for his famous patio parties with family and friends. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Perry Richards and Mr. Mike Jutt officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
