David Inlow

David Inlow, 70, passed away November 2nd, 2023, at his home in Durango, Colorado.

He was born December 22, 1952, in Indianapolis, to the late Dr. Paul and Joan (Hitchcock) Inlow.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Jennifer Inlow, of Terre Haute, Indiana.

Dave led an interesting life. While working for government agencies including the Department of Agriculture, the Bureau of Land Management, and the Park Service, he lived in various parts of the country including Indianapolis, Chico (northern California), San Diego, and Cortez (southwest Colorado). From 1994 on, he lived in Durango, Colorado.

In addition to working for the government, he pursued modeling, acting, and working as an extra in TV shows and movies.

His biggest role was as the preacher presiding over the burial in Part 3 of the TV miniseries "Comanche Moon." Unfortunately, most of the burial scene was cut but Dave can be seen leading the procession out of the cemetary at time point 1:29:41. His most humorous work as an extra was playing a zombie in the movie "Undead or Alive: A Zombedy." He appears in several scenes with fellow zombies and can be seen pushing on a wall at 1:13:10. In addition to his film work, he starred in several southwest Colorado TV and radio commercials.

Dave was a great son, older brother, and friend. He is very much missed.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM, June 22, at Forest Hill Cemetary. Reverend Bill Horner will officiate. All are welcome.

Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
