David L. Goode

David L. Goode, 57, of Shelbyville passed away Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born April 11, 1953 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Avery and Nadine (Bell) Goode. He married Kathryn "Kathy" McCorkle on June 13, 2003, and she survives. Other survivors include his mother; sons, Adam Goode of Bloomington, Joshua (wife, Shelley) Goode of Kansas City, Missouri, and Shawn Goode of Shelbyville; step-daughter, Shelley Dillman of Shelbyville; sisters, Joyce (husband Bob) Garner of McCordsville, Linda Goode of Houston, Texas and Nancy Swazay of Shelbyvile; brothers, Kenneth (wife, Mary) Goode of Indianapolis, Delbert (wife, Betty) Goode of Evansville and Bruce Goode of Shelbyville; and five grandchildren, Finian, Lucy, James, Richard and Carolann. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Danny Goode. Mr. Goode was a lifelong Shelbyville resident. He was formerly employed at Kasco, Ryobi and PK USA. Mr. Goode enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren, golf, working outside in his yard, doing mechanical work spending time with his family. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Rev. Ed Mohr officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to David L.
