David Lynn Moore D.D.S., 62, of Greenfield passed away Thursday, February 7, 2008 at his home.
Born April 3, 1945, in Shelbyville, he was the son of W. Edghill and Betty (Hauk) Moore. He married M. Michele Rahe on August 19, 1967, and she survives.
Other survivors include his father of Shelbyville; daughters, Megan (husband, Bill) Moore-Gardner of Cleveland, Ohio, Amy (husband, Mike) Brennan and Kristin Moore, both of Greenfield; brother, Ed (wife, Becky) Moore of Carmel; sister, Deborah Meszaros of Nashville, Tenn.; and grandchildren, Owen Brennan and Adeline Gardner.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Dr. Moore had been a dentist in Indianapolis and Greenfield, retiring in the summer of 2007.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of Vietnam War, serving as an officer in the dental corp. He last served in 1973.
Mr. Moore graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1963 and from Baylor University Dental School in Dallas, Texas in 1971. He was an Indiana Unviersity undergraduate of 1967.
He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Elks Lodge No. 1720 and American Legion Lodge No. 119, all in Greenfield.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, Indiana 46176.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 4218 E. Michgian Road, with the Rev. Severin Messick O.S.B. officiating.
Interment will be in St. Vincent De Paul Cemetery in Shelby County.
