David Teal

November 19, 1958 — July 13, 2007

David Teal, 48, of Shelbyville passed away Friday, July 13, 2007, near Mount Auburn. Born November 19, 1958, in Shelbyville, he ws the son of Paul A. and Rita (Beyer) Teal. He married Jean Alexander on June 5, 1984, and she survives. Other survivors include his mother of Shelbyville; sons, Jake Teal and Adam Teal, both of Shelbyville; and sisters, Diane West of Morristown and Debra Teal of Shelbyville. Mr. Teal was a lifelong Shelbyville resident. He had been employed at Knauf Insulation for 30 years. Mr. Teal was a member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge, Eagles Lodge, ABATE of Indiana and Nation Rifle Association. He was a 1977 graduate of Shelbyville High School. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and motor biker. He also was an avid antique collector and loved home improvement projects. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church, 124 W. Broadway Street, with the Rev. Ralph D. Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Indiana Ducks Unlimited, in care of Frank Wolka Jr., State Chairman, 4034 S.
