Deborah J. Cook, 49, of Shelbyville passed away January 16, 2008 at Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus.
Born September 3, 1958 in Shelbyville to Glenn E. Mills and Carolyn L. Davies Mills.
Deborah is survived by her mother, of Shelbyville; one son Nathaniel R. Shaner of Shelbyville; two brothers, Kim Millers of Shelbyville, and Brad (wife, Cindy) Mills of Fountaintown, IN; several nieces and nephews and countless loving friends.
She was employed at Major Hospital, receiving employee of the year award in 2006, as a Respiratory Therapist.
Deborah was a member of the Lewis Creek Baptist Church, AARC (American Association of Respiratory Care) and was a court appointed special advocate, and CASA.
She was a 1976 graduate of Shelbyville High School, and attended IVTC and received a Respiratory Certificate in December 1980.
A gathering of friends will be from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Lewis Creek Baptist Church with a memorial services at 5:30 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bennesee' Oncology Center or Hospice of Shelby County.
Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN was entrusted with the services.
