Debra Sue “Debbie” Longwell, 61, of Morristown, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.
She was born July 10, 1953 in Indianapolis, the daughter of James W. “Bill” and Margaret L. (Morphew) Bratton. She married David A. Longwell on December 5, 1970, and he survives.
Other survivors include her sons, Jimmy Longwell and wife, Angie, of North Vernon and Andy Longwell and wife, Ashley, of Morristown; daughter, Angela Snyder and husband, Shane, of Gwynneville; brother, Billy Bratton of Shelbyville; grandchildren, David, Jake, Jack, Keegan, Chloe, Aubrey, Cody, Devyn and Kane; brother-in-law, Stephen Light of Indianapolis; sister-in-law, Becky Longwell of Morristown; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Judy Andis of Morristown; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Diana Light.
Debbie graduated from Arsenal Tech High School.
She was a member of The Restoration Church in Greenwood.
Debbie was previously employed as an associate at Exel in Indianapolis, she had formerly worked at Overhead Door in Shelbyville and I.P.C. in Morristown. She retired in 2006.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially babysitting with her grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the funeral home, with Pastor David Stephenson officiating.
Interment will be at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
