Dee Jay Toll

Dee Jay Toll, USGC, 63 of Zephyrhills, Florida, formerly of Shelbyville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 24, 2022. He was born on October 11, 1958, in Shelbyville, Indiana, the son of Donna Sue and Bryan Toll. Dee Jay is survived by his parents; daughter, Tara Carter of Alabama; sister, Lori (Tom) Brown of Shelbyville, IN; brothers, Dan (Kathy) Toll of Indianapolis, IN, David (Pam) Toll of Shelbyville, IN, and Doug (Shannon) Toll of Arizona. He is also survived by two granddaughters, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Greg Toll. Dee Jay was a 1976 graduate of Shelbyville High School. He was a member of the US Coast Guard for 25 years and a member of the USCG Gulf Strike Team Mobile Alabama. He served in several areas of the country. Dee Jay enjoyed playing golf and camping. Graveside rites will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2022, at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville, IN with military rites conducted by the local military committee.
