Deena Beth Spencer, 59, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born June 4, 1954, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Bob and Darleen (Jones) Oldham. Deena is survived by her mother of Shelbyville; sons, Todd W. (wife, Maria) Spencer of Shelbyville and Matthew Spencer of Plainfield; daughter, Katrina (husband, Hank) Lynn of Ladoga; sisters, Kathleen (husband, Michael) Bray of Shelbyville and Carrie (husband, Tom) Zupancic of Indianapolis; brother, Tom (wife, Diana) Oldham of Thorntown; grandchildren, Ethan Spencer and Kaitlynn Spencer; fiancé, Bryon Arbuckle of Shelbyville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father. Deena was a lifelong Shelbyville resident and graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1972. She was a member of West Street United Methodist Church. Deena was a paralegal for Adams and Cramer. She was an artist and loved to paint, she also enjoyed flowers. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, October 7, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lewis Creek Baptist Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Educational Fund for her grandchildren, in care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.freemanfamilyfuneralhomes.com.
