Delcie Marie Smith, 77, of Shelbyville passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at Heritage House Convalescent Center.
Born June 16, 1931, in Columbia, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Larkin Burton.
Survivors include her sons, Ernie Smith, Junior (wife, Linda) Smith and George Gragg, all of Shelbyville, and Jimmy (wife, Betty) Gragg of Connersville; daughter, Sherry White of Bloomington; stepsons, Randy (wife, Gina) Monday of Rushville, Roger (wife, Jennifer) Monday of Vincennes and Stephen Monday of Shelbyville; stepdaughters, Tammy (husband, Tim) Wood and Sandy (husband, Brian) Wilson, both of North Vernon, and Norma (husband, Mark) Cross of Columbus; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and companion of 33 years Bobby R. Monday.
She was preceded in death by her father and daughter, Mary Alice Smith.
Ms. Smith had been a bartender at Waltz Bar and Grill. She also had been employed at P.P.G. Plastic in Edinburgh and Heritage Manor.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Steven O'Brien officiating.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
